Engine

Evita has a very simple, very faithful Volvo MD2. The engine is 18 HP and moves the boat along nicely at 5 + knots.

The compression Levers A allow you to completely decompress the engine to get the flywheeel spinning

There is even a manual starter B, to crank the flywheel by hand to either preheat the engine if your battery is very weak, or to start the engine without any battery power at all.

The 18 HP Volvo MD2, is easily accessible from all sides. It is located beneath the companionway stairs.

The engine is raw water cooled, and puts out excellent compression, moving the boat with a three-blade fixed prop at 5 knots without any excess noise or vibration.
